Hello,

I’m Nicole. A former Bostonian, I’ve spent the past 18 years living in Sydney with my Australian husband. Somewhere along the way, we had 5 sons, who now range in age from 5 – 14.

With a median family age of 12, we love finding things that hit the sweet spot between early childhood and adolescence. Unfortunately, most lifestyle and travel resources online skew towards babies and little ones, with not a lot left over for older kids – particularly tweens and young teens, who aren’t quite ready for the independence that comes with part-time jobs and car keys.

As a large family mama, there is nothing I love more than discovering something new that’s fun for all my boys. (I particularly love the free stuff because, let’s face it, with 5 kids, those entry fees add up!) I spend hours researching the best parks, playgrounds, and novelty outings so that we can really make the most of our weekends and experience something memorable wherever we end up.

I put together this site to help me keep track of all the cool places we go (or want to go), but I hope you find something here to help you make great memories with your big kids, too.
